We’re excited to announce a powerful new way to give students feedback: Rubric-Based Feedback!
Rubric-Based Feedback helps instructors provide consistent, detailed, and actionable feedback to students. By linking comments directly to specific rubric criteria, students can easily see what they did well and where they need to improve. This approach saves instructors time while improving learning outcomes.
It’s as straightforward as it sounds! For each criterion on your rubric, students will receive:
Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect

For example, if a student provides a thorough market analysis but misses key competitor insights, the rubric-based feedback might note: ‘Excellent identification of target market trends’ (positive) and ‘Consider adding cmore specific data points to strengthen your argument’ (constructive). This makes feedback actionable and tied directly to rubric expectations.
When creating a new assignment, Rubric-Based Feedback will now be the default feedback type. Don’t worry – all your existing feedback options are still here! Just head to Advanced Feedback Settings during assignment setup to access them.
Mark your calendars! Rubric-Based Feedback goes live on December 11th, 2024.
